Installation:
* Copy the main executable to the root directory of your Android device.
* Ensure that the location of the main executable and the protected files and folders are the same.* Save the main executable.* Done
Usability:
* Select the protected file or folder from the file browser.
* Decide if you want to add or subtract the byte.
The other 2 options (Disable protection and Do not ask any further) will be disabled.
The main goal of Byte Manipulator is to allow protection of personal files, hence the ability to add or subtract the byte.
Ongoing development:
We are still working on some enhancements so we don’t have any date for the release of the next build but we will keep you posted.
(The application has an rating of 2.2 so it should be safe for most Android devices, maybe it’s different for some devices, which is why the rating isn’t 100%)

A little tip:
When moving the selected file to a folder, you can drag the middle mouse button.
FlexiByte will automatically fix and update this file or folder. This way you can move it and think that the file or folder is untouchable, but it’s not safe: each change (addition or subtraction) made by Byte Manipulator will be automatically fixed by FlexiByte, which will protect the file or folder.
Byte Manipulator contains a limitation when you try to change a file or folder which has the protection byte already set: Byte Manipulator will prompt you whether you want to add or subtract the byte, and will not overwrite existing bytes.
Previous versions of Byte Manipulator (without the concept of “Fixed Byte”) were only available as shareware.

Description of FlexiByte:
FlexiByte is an automatic (and fully
configurable) file scanner. It fixes and updates every
non-opend file on a certain section in a
specified folder.
Use FlexiByte to scan and fix infected files, viruses, or Trojan
viruses on your computer. For computers that are offline,
FlexiByte can be used to scan and fix infected files in the memory
of a pen drive, CD/DVD or floppy disk or image file. With this
version, a special add-on file is included, which allows you to
scan and fix corrupted files using FlexiByte.
FlexiByte can be used without Addon.dat.
The purpose of the FlexiByte Addon.dat file is to provide a
privileged user with the ability to fix files/folders that have not
been fixed by other applications like FlexiByte or Fixfiles.dat.
In other words:
1. Another user has finished his or her scan, and was finally able to
fix all infected files.
2. The computer was infected with a virus or a Trojan virus.
