A plethora of plug-ins for Photoshop are available for you to use to perform additional tasks within the program, or to modify images stored in Photoshop.

## Organizing Your Images

The organizational structure of your images — from folders and metadata to collections and projects — is what ultimately determines how your images can be organized in a manner that enables you to view, access, and present them effectively.

## Associating metadata with images

Metadata is information about a specific file, such as the photographer’s name and the actual date a particular image was taken. Along with the metadata comes a history of various types of metadata changes, such as who the camera is, which filter was used, and which program was used to create the image.

Why would you care? You can retrieve the complete history of a particular image by right-clicking on an image and choosing History, and you can use the History panel to see the history of changes to that image, but the history is presented in an inelegant way — it’s a long list that can be difficult to access as well as to understand.

It has many features that make it very easy to edit images. In this tutorial, we will learn how to modify images in Adobe Photoshop Elements. The process in a professional environment includes many steps such as pre-requisites like color settings and normalizing the grayscale.

What is Photoshop Elements?

Adobe Photoshop Elements is an alternative to professional Photoshop. It has the standard workflow of professional tools. However, it is simpler to use than a professional version.

You need an active internet connection to log into PSE editor. You can download new version from their website. It is a free version of Photoshop.

Step 1. Import the photograph

Open the image you want to edit in Photoshop Elements. The image needs to be in JPEG format. You can use the Import option in Edit or File > Import.

Click OK or OK on the top toolbar to close any dialog boxes.

Use the Controlling Colors option if the image shows the warning message.

Controlling Colors – Make the colors more consistent

Select the entire image. To do so, click on the first layer in the Layers palette and click on the layer of the image. A selection frame will appear around the image. You can add new layers to your image by clicking on the new layer button on the layer palette.

If you want to edit only the colors in your image, select the entire image and choose Edit > Select > Same.

Go to Enhance > Adjustments > Desaturate.

The desaturation is 50-percent in the image.

You can reduce the desaturation by going to Enhance > Adjustments > Levels.

Open the Levels window and drag the slider to the right or left to increase the desaturation to 3-percent or lower.

Press OK to return to the Layers palette.

You can also go to Enhance > Adjustments > Curves to reduce the desaturation of your image.

Step 2. Remove the shadows

Go to Enhance > Adjustments > Shadow/Highlight.

Set the shadows to 0-percent.

Go to Enhance > Adjustments > Lighten to brighten the image.

Go to Enhance > Adjustments > Curves and drag the slider to the left.

Press OK to close the dialog boxes.

I’ve had a somewhat quiet Thanksgiving as we are in the midst of the Christmas rush.

Last week we enjoyed a couple of relaxing days and this week we are getting back into the swing of things with work, our families and traditions.

How are you enjoying your Thanksgiving? We are spending the holiday with my parents in Kansas this year and I have a fun family tradition that I miss.

The first and last of the year, our families gather at the same restaurant to dine on a big Thanksgiving dinner. That’s why I love Thanksgiving. It’s a chance for everyone to gather with their family, share a meal and good conversation, and a special time to remember those who are no longer with us. It’s a time for gratitude.

So even though the Christmas rush is starting, I’m not totally bummed, I’m looking forward to sharing family time with my family and catching up with everyone, spending time with my dad and having the opportunity to eat my favorite family meal.

I have a fun family tradition that I miss. My family always celebrates Thanksgiving by inviting their friends to our house for a huge holiday dinner. It’s a fun way to have the best of both worlds. We can celebrate a traditional Thanksgiving dinner while also having a big holiday party with all of our friends. My mom even keeps a box to celebrate each year and the kids get to re-enact the original Thanksgiving dinner.

I’ve had a lot of fun making this pie. Not only is it delicious, but it’s so easy to make.

I’ve been making chocolate pies for years and I found this recipe on Pinterest a few months ago. I quickly fell in love with it and added this blueberry pie recipe that is also featured in one of my Christmas gift guides.

My family also loved it and I had many requests for the recipe.

As you make the pie, have a glass of milk or whip up some vanilla ice cream.

This pie is inspired by chocolate pie but is perfectly delicious with a dollop of whipped cream!

Place the eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl and whisk to combine.
Add the chocolate, flour, and salt, whisking until combined. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
Wash out the bowl and whisk and add the blueberries and remaining 3 Tbsp. sugar.
Toss gently to combine.

Authorities say a man accused of pointing a rifle at a Riverside police officer has made several threatening phone calls to the police department over the past six months.Police say 30-year-old Larry Keith Davis is a registered sex offender who suffers from bipolar disorder and has an extensive criminal history.

They allege that he threatened to shoot an officer and made bomb threats to the department, along with other public areas.

In June, Davis was sentenced to three years in prison for allegedly threatening two homes in an attempt to collect money from a credit card dispute.
