HiCDEject is a small utility program for Windows XP. The main advantage of the HiCDEject program is its simplicity. You do not need to know anything about the BIOS setting and the optical disc drive harddisk is already automatically ejected or closed with the click of a mouse.

KNOWN ERRORS

The description “HiCDEject is a small utility program for Windows XP” is misleading. The program actually works on Windows 7 and Windows Vista both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Unfortunately, the main difference between Windows 7 and Windows Vista is the graphical environment that must be used.
HiCDEject does not work on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, 10 and newer.
The description of the “KNOWN ERRORS” section is misleading. Please look at the descriptions of the errors which HiCDEject has made.

You could just create a web page that redirects to an IP address of your network.
e.g. Lets say I wanted to create a page that redirected to an IP address of a server running our local wiki.
DNS resolves to:
wiki.example.com -> 192.168.1.1
-> 192.168.1.1

Since DNS resolution fails, the browser tries to resolve again to the IP address.
192.168.1.1 -> 192.168.1.1 (success)
