A highly detailed and beautiful fantasy RPG that is a stylish hybrid of western fantasy, action and role-playing!

Played the game this afternoon with a couple of friends. Really enjoyed it. Although it seems to be a complex game, after the very brief tutorial I managed to pick it up pretty quickly.

What I really like about this game is the visual aspect of the game. Each character has their own highly detailed and aesthetically pleasing visual set up.

The aforementioned animations and character models really make this game look great and the fact there is voice acting really adds to that. You can zoom in on individual elements, giving a fantastic amount of detail.

The combat is based around the different classes you select for your party. The standard class is the ranger who is a melee combatant, the warrior is a strong tank character and the magic caster. The difference is that each of the classes requires a different kind of weapon to use.

The ranger can use weapons like battle-axes or long swords as their default weapons. The warrior has the choice of using either a shield or a large axe as their weapon.

The magic casters use a variety of different weapons. However it is the direction you move the weapon that determines what kind of spell will be cast.

Each of the weapons have a different range and size which makes aiming and multi-hitting more effective. The game is over if the enemy is hit once they hit the warrior for example.

The hero moves across the open world in one of two modes. You can move using the WASD keys or you can use your mouse to move. In combat this will open up more options by letting you aim at specific body parts.

This is also a story based game which means you need to complete some side missions to progress the story.

What I really like about this game is the stylised graphics. This is not just a big budget game, the colours in the game are genuinely beautiful. There is no real limit to the amount of detail that can be included.

I also think the game should be praised for using the most up-to-date engines. I have seen the game in action running on an xbox 360 whilst the developers themselves have stated that the PS3 version is running on the same engine as the 360.
