There are three main types of applications that use AutoCAD, depending on the capabilities of the computer hardware on which the software is running: AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD LT 2017, and AutoCAD Architecture.

AutoCAD LT (and also AutoCAD LT 2017) is used for 2D drafting and design, including 2D architectural drafting, floor plans, electrical and mechanical schematics, 2D structural and piping drawings, documentation, and records.

AutoCAD LT 2017 is a step-up version of AutoCAD LT, with a more powerful feature set that includes many new drafting tools, drawings, and templates. AutoCAD LT 2017 is a better design tool than AutoCAD LT, even though it’s aimed at the same market.

AutoCAD Architecture is a non-CAD application that is designed to provide a high-level, design-centric view of architectural drawing projects.

Interface

AutoCAD uses a “paper space” interface. That is, to create a drawing, you draw on the computer screen using the mouse and the menus that appear on the screen. There is a toolbar that appears on the top of the screen, with icons for the most common tasks (such as drawing, importing, editing, etc.). The most recently used commands are also available as floating icons. For example, to create a new drawing, you select the “Draw” icon on the toolbar.

Drawing Tools

AutoCAD provides a wide variety of drawing tools that are designed to help users create professional-quality drawings. Some of these tools require that you first create a drawing, then add toolbars. You can create, draw, and edit multiple drawings at once.

The following is a list of drawing tools provided by AutoCAD:

CAD Toolbar

AutoCAD provides several toolbar types: the basic toolbar, which is the toolbar that appears when you start AutoCAD; the standard toolbar, which appears when you first open a drawing; and toolbars that are specific to drafting and design, such as the pipe and conduit toolbars. If you need to create your own custom toolbars, you can do that in AutoCAD using its built-in customization tools.

XData
XData is a proprietary format used by AutoCAD Activation Code for storing information about the objects in the drawing. It includes values such as name, description, units, attributes, coordinates, dimension information, etc. It is particularly useful in the case of attributes when you do not want to store the attribute values in the same field as the object itself. The designer can store the information in fields to be able to quickly find the attribute values.

How do I change the width of a tkinter label?

I have the following code:
pl1 = tk.Label(frame2, text=’Loading..’, width=30, height=10)
pl1.grid(row=1, column=1)

I want to change the width of this label. I have tried width=30, width=10, and width=1.
I’m new to python and tkinter, so I’m sure I’m doing something silly. Thanks.

You’ve got the width set correctly. It’s only the height that is wrong. You set the height to 10, but you need to set the width.

If you want to resize the text, use the textvariable.

I am having problems with a query for an Oracle database.
This is the sql I am executing:
MERGE INTO my_table t
USING (VALUES (‘a’)

WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE SET t.field_two = src.value;

The query takes about 5 seconds to execute, which is very long.
If I change the query to:

ON (t.field_one = src.value)
WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN INSERT (field_one, field_two) VALUES (src.value, src.value);
