# Activating a license from a workstation

Steps:

1. Enter the license number and click on Activate. The key will be generated and displayed on screen.

4. Paste the key into the “License Key” field in the License Activation Form (Admin User). Click on Activate,

With the new Dynamic web-based service integration, it’s no longer necessary to create your own DWG file server, or use BOB.

When AutoCAD opens a DWG file from a Web-based service, the drawing automatically appears in the drawing window, ready for editing.
