Photoshop is a program to use, not an art tool to create. With this great program at your disposal, you can create images almost as powerful as those painted by some of the masters of traditional art. It’s up to you to choose how you want to use Photoshop!

From simple digital art projects to extremely complex layered photomanipulations, Photoshop enables a wide range of skills. You can create professional logos and business cards from scratch, change the look of those printed images, or enhance the appearance of your movie and television titles.

The work of masters like Andy Warhol or fine art photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson can be created with this program. Photoshop enables you to print your images on canvas or canvas paper, and create unique prints for clients, frames for your cards and images, or walls for your home.

Photoshop has a simple layer system, which enables you to make changes in the opacity of one layer at a time. It also has a mode where you can work between layers without having to export the final image to other programs. In addition to pixel-level editing, Adobe has also added features to its layers to work with video and audio files. These features enable you to manipulate everything from audio clips to animated clip.

We can’t list every feature of Photoshop, but we have tried to cover the most basic features that you need to know to begin using Photoshop and modifying your pictures. This book shows you how to use Photoshop at its simplest level, covering the steps for both editing images in the Adobe RGB color space and modifying color and tone using the Levels palette and Curves palette. We also show you how to use the Photoshop Adjustment Layers feature to manipulate your image and make it more interesting. This isn’t the most modern and advanced technique for working with images, but if you want to create some cool effects, like matte painting, or do advanced retouching work, like creating a moonlit sky or coloring hair, Photoshop Adjustment Layers is a great tool.

These changes will be applied without any extra plugins so you can focus on your image instead of having to find the correct tool. Step 1

This tutorial is about removing the background of an image. If you want to remove objects instead of the background, you can use the Levels or Curves menu as explained below.

1. Open the image. Then press the Delete key to delete all layers except the background.

2. Press Alt+Backspace to remove the background, then select this layer and press the Delete key again.

3. Open the Background Eraser panel. Click and drag over the area you want to erase. You’ll see that the eraser will be blinking. When you stop dragging, the area you have selected will be erased.

4. The background can now be blurred to a light tone of gray using the Dodge and Burn tools.

5. Press Alt+Backspace to remove the background. Select all the layers except the background layer and click OK.

6. If the backdrop was not completely removed, press Alt+Ctrl+A to bring back the grayscale adjustment layer. Press Ctrl+I to invert its colors. And then press Alt+Ctrl+D to desaturate its colors. The image should now be fully white and free of background.

The Modify > Colorize menu can also be used to change the background color. Open the dialog menu by pressing Ctrl+I. Set the background color to white with the following:

Edit > Colorize > Colorize Selected Colors

To remove the background, you can use another solution: the Eraser panel. Click and drag over the area you want to erase.

Now that you’ve removed the backdrop, you can make a few small changes to the image.

What about the fact that someone else has written something similar before you
(maybe longer, or in more detail, or with better examples)?

Why not put your effort into offering something new and original– instead of
some ‘kooky’ article that just makes you look amateur?

Good point, I should do a better job explaining that I never plan to churn out
article after article, I just want to share some of my thoughts around design
and tech.

I’m not really opposed to if someone wants to point out the prior art, but I
