Photoshop Elements

Photoshop Elements is a separate application from Photoshop. It has a simpler interface and more limited features. Photographers can save their images in Photoshop’s.psd format. If you want to alter only specific parts of your image, use Photoshop Elements’ Edit ▸ Enhance ▸ Adjust Color. You can also print from Photoshop Elements.

Be aware that the price of Photoshop Elements is higher than a program like Elements 7 and has a smaller user base; therefore, you must do more research before choosing this option. To find out more about the program, check out `www.adobe.com/software/photoshop/elements_windows.html`.

Eye-Fi Mobile Upload

If you have an Eye-Fi memory card reader with a mobile upload feature, you can upload images to your computer from anywhere and view them on your mobile device or desktop computer.

Easy Retouching

The easiest way to retouch a photo is to use Easy Retouching (`www.easyretouching.com`), an online service where you can change an image’s exposure, color balance, contrast, and other parameters to make it look just right.

Cropping

The Cropping feature in Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 enables you to selectively remove unwanted areas from an image. To use it, follow these steps:

1. Choose Edit ▸ Selection to pull up the menu on the right side of the screen.

2. Select the Crop tool from the menu.

3. Position the Crop tool near the area you want to keep and then click to place a box around the area to crop.

4. Use the options in the Crop dialog box, as shown in Figure 2-1, to fine-tune the selection.

5. Press the keyboard shortcuts Delete or Backspace to remove the excess area.

6. Save the cropped image by choosing File ▸ Save.

7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 to crop areas of your photo, or you can use the Crop tool to resize an image, which is discussed later in this chapter.

Photoshop for Windows is an alternative to Photoshop Lightroom. You’ve got the best workflow software, great user interface, and powerful tools, and if you’re happy with Elements, you can get Photoshop for Windows free with your purchase of Elements.

Mac includes all of the features of Photoshop for Windows, plus there are a lot of cool add-ons including those which allow you to connect your Mac and an external monitor, and Mac-specific features like Screen Flow to stitch videos together.

Photoshop for Windows: A Few Great Features

Some of Photoshop’s greatest features have been included in the Elements version of Photoshop. It’s possible to earn real-world money to buy these features in the full version of Photoshop. However, there are a few real-life features that you might find easier to use on your Windows PC.

The New Shapes

In Photoshop for Windows, new shapes can be inserted into Photoshop by right clicking on a new shape. Choose Shape Info from the context menu in the menu bar on the right side of the screen and from the Shape Info window you can insert the new shape.

The new shape can be grouped into a category. In the shape group on the left side of the screen (or in the shape group that is selected in the Shape Info window) you can choose if you want to add a bounding box or not. If you have a bounding box selected on the right side, you can apply effects like drop shadows, add effects like letters, and add text on the shape.

If you click the play button in the top right corner of the Shape Info window, it will automatically play back the shape in the selection window.

Create Artboards

Artboards are a special kind of layers where you can easily crop your image into a specific size. Artboards can be used to create ideas for an illustration, to create a mockup for a web layout, for example.

In Photoshop for Windows, you can insert artboards from the Create Artboards tool window. Click on the arrow next to the Create Artboards tool on the

Altered nicotinic acetylcholine receptor binding in fetal rubrospinal neurons of magnesium-deficient rats.
We studied the influence of perinatal Mg deficiency on the density of acetylcholine receptor binding sites in the spinal cord of young adult (P30) and prenatal (E30) rat offspring. Compared to animals fed a Mg-sufficient control diet, Mg-deficient animals showed a 23% decrease in the density of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor binding sites in the E30 spinal cord. This difference was not seen in the young adult. On the contrary, the density of muscarinic acetylcholine receptor binding sites was not affected by Mg deficiency in either age group. In the young adult spinal cord, we found a 40% decrease in the densities of both nicotinic and muscarinic receptor binding sites in Mg-deficient animals.About the Artist

Bint Amer Arbeen

Bint Amer (, also rendered in English as: Bint Amal or Bint Amer) is a Bedouin town in the Negev desert in southern Israel. It is located in the southern Hebron Hills near the Negev resorts of Sde Boker and Eshtaol at the southern foot of the Judean Desert, just north of the town of Kibbutz Nir Am (Eshtaol). In Arabic the place is known as Bint Amer which means “the beautiful bride”. The town had a population of 939 in mid-2006.

History
Bint Amer was founded in 1951 by Taha al-Hashlamoun, an Arab Bedouin from the Negev. Although the village initially was a traditional Bedouin village, with a built-up han which was actually on a moshav, the latter was built later.

In 1983, it was recognized as a local council in the newly established Local Councils Law.

In 2004, Bint Amer was demarcated as a local council, and in 2005 it merged with Nahhalin and the moshav of Ba-Haziq, forming the Bint Amer Regional Council.

Economy
The local council’s industrial zone was founded in Bint Amer in 2002, and is currently at a stage of building development, including a state-of-the-art Z-roof greenhouse.

In 2011, Bint Amer’s power station was inaugurated. The power station includes a 460 MW thermal power station named Bint Amer.

Education
Bint Amer has an active branch of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, which is a branch of the Bezalel Museum. The branch is named Bint Amer Academy of Art.
