Here are the top five projections, according to various NHL draft experts and rankings:

1. Vancouver (six per cent chance)

The Canucks finished with the second worst record in the NHL at 44-36-6 and missed the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season.

Vancouver is in line to have two first-round picks this year and an extra first-rounder next season if Calgary is successful in claiming the draft lottery in July.

The Canucks entered the 2017 draft with only two first-round selections (Brent Burns and Tyler Motte) to work with and they don’t have any picks until the final two rounds.

After trading the 18th and 22nd overall picks to Edmonton in the deal that sent Nikolaj Ehlers to the Jets, Vancouver sits at No. 18 with only its own picks.
