What you’re using with Photoshop is called a _photomosaic_ or _photomontage_ — a collection of images in an editable file. You can create a photomosaic by organizing individual images into a collection of layers, which are individual images (see the “Understanding layers” section earlier in this chapter for an explanation of layers), which then can be edited individually or combined with other layers to create something new.

Photoshop is a powerful program because of its ability to edit and manipulate images in real time and interactively. In this chapter, I walk you through the basics of working with Photoshop: how to open it, load a photo, and save a file with the same name. In the next two chapters, I show you how to work with the various editing tools and shortcuts. I also cover how to enhance images by applying filters and patterns.

## Photoshop by the Numbers

The first thing you may notice when you start to use Photoshop is the large amount of screen real estate required to display images and other materials. In this program, you’re actually seeing only a small portion of what’s available because the program is so powerful. For example, your toolbars are only a small portion of the left side of your screen, and the toolbars are much larger than typical toolbars used in many other programs. (I talk more about toolbars later in the chapter.) To fully view your image in Photoshop, you need to open the graphics window (Window⇒Graphics), and then drag it over or click and drag it to any size you want. You can also center it in the screen by dragging its center to wherever you want it, or you can completely hide the graphics window and display an image window that occupies the whole screen (where you can click and drag to scale your image) by clicking the image from the main menu and choosing Image⇒Window⇒Image Size or by pressing the Ctrl+1 keyboard shortcut.

Photoshop is designed to be used with an unlimited number of images, which is why it works so well for a professional setting. In addition, not only can you access this vast amount of space, you can also connect to other computers on a network via a _file-sharing_ program. You can then move or copy files to your computer

Photoshop is considered to be one of the most powerful photo editing software or digital photo editing software. Photoshop has lots of features such as layers, selections, cloning and blending, adjustments and etc. Photoshop is one of the most widely used software in the entire world.

The primary and a fundamental difference between Photoshop and Photoshop Elements is that Photoshop does not offer an overall photo editing software. In other words, Photoshop only offers image editing features, and this element contains more features.

In a nutshell, the sharing economy is a way of doing business, where firms connect people with free, alternative ways of providing solutions. From my research, as a business owner, and as the director of campus strategic marketing at Clover State College, I will be focusing on the digital exchange industry.

There are two main arguments supporting the effectiveness of the digital exchange. First, digital exchanges are an attractive market option for consumers since their information is stored in the blockchain, giving consumers full ownership. Further, digital exchanges promote the growth of the sharing economy by providing an easy, secure payment process.

There are some benefits of using digital exchanges. First, as discussed above, if digital exchanges are utilized properly, they give people the ability to own their data. Further, digital exchanges provide a safe and secure payment method, allowing customers to select the exchange that best fits them. Finally, since the digital exchange itself is built on the blockchain, consumers are also provided with a platform for trust.

Nonetheless, there are also some drawbacks to digital exchanges. Most obviously, if a party is complicit in the payment process, the consumer is not given any verification that the service is legitimate.
