While Photoshop can often work as an alternative to Flash, the two applications are not the same. Flash, although it can be very versatile, tends to be complex to use for beginners. Metadata, Powerful Filters

Metadata is information about the image file. Metadata for most image files is basic, but Photoshop offers much more metadata management. The Image Capture, Camera Raw, and Expert panels, shown in Figure 11-13, enable you to create and manage metadata.

Before you can create and manage metadata, you must change the way Photoshop saves image files. If you haven’t changed it, Photoshop creates only one file for an image that contains a tiling area (a rectangular area in which the whole image appears) but no visible image. (For more information on layers, see the “Layers” section later in this chapter.)

Metadata can be used to create and manage your own web galleries as well as for direct use. For example, when you create metadata that includes the date and time a picture was taken, it can be used in a web page to show the date and time an image was uploaded. People know it came from you, and because people want to show it to others, you end up with a strong sense of community.

In order to create and manage metadata, you must first make changes to the way Photoshop saves image files. These changes affect the way Photoshop displays the image. For example, when you change the size of an image, the image appears in its expanded form unless you choose to save it with its original size. Most desktop computers don’t have the memory to store a large-sized image at once. You must change the memory format or the size of the tiling area to save a large image.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 11.07 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, the
clerk of the trial court transmitted to this Court this application for a writ of habeas corpus. Ex parte
Young, 418 S.W.2d 824, 826 (Tex. Crim. App. 1967). Applicant was convicted of possession of a
controlled substance and sentenced to five years’ imprisonment.
On October 6, 2010, this Court remanded this application to the trial court for findings of fact
and conclusions of law. The trial court has determined that trial counsel was not ineffective. We
agree and affirm the trial court’s order granting relief.
Applicant’s out-of-time motion for extention of time is dismissed as moot.
